Thanks, Snugglepot. :D

In The Mystery of the Hidden House, what is the name of Miss Lucy's cook?

Thanks Eddie. I needed the clue!

At the beginning of Invisible Thief where are the five children and what are they doing?

A memorable opening scene....they were all sweltering in the Summer heat in a garden - the Hilton's garden? - and planning where to go and what to do next.

Thanks, Daisy. :D May you enjoy a run of warm, sunny weather during the rest of your Summer.

In 'TMOT Secret Room', Fatty tells the other Find-Outers where (in general terms) he goes to to shop for disguises. Where did he go?

For a bonus smilie, you might :) remind us why Fatty preferred to shop for disguises on his own.

Hmmm... not sure, but was it London? And of course, the reason for him shopping for disguises on his own is so that he can try them out on the other Find-Outers unawares, which he promptly does...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

London. yes, Courtenay. Over to you. :D

The logical, even likely reason that you suggest for Fatty's preference for shopping by himself for disguises differs from the reason that he himself gives in Chapter II of 'TMOT Secret Room'.

As Dot has not been around for nearly two weeks, I think you should set a new question, Aurélien. :D

And sorry I haven't got back to this for a couple of days. Here's an easy one:

Which was the first Find-Outers book that was not illustrated originally by the unforgettable Joseph Abbey?
