Are you sure the rat isn't really a 'hamster' called Basil?

Sadly it really is a rat as we have had a number of close encounters!. But at least I can take the Bee out of your bonnet.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thank you Courtenay for putting me out of my misery - I will know better than to visit the Games section in the future.

If only someone had asked for an 'O' it would have been over quickly, but it is of course the last whole book that I loaded in the Cave which is why I thought I would give it a mention!

Over and out!

Barney is no longer an orphan? From the end of Rub-a-Dub Mystery.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

There aren't that many words that start with O and end with AN, so it wasn't too hard!
