Blyton Character Acrostics

Post by Poppy »

Hope there's not a game already like this but here's what to do anyway. Name a character from a Blyton book and describe them using an acrostic. (Only their first name) Then on the bottom of your post write another character's name for the next person.

EXAMPLE
Burly
Intelligent
Loving
Likeable

The first name is Janet (SS).

Re: Blyton Character Limericks

Post by Fiona1986 »

I like the idea, but those aren't limericks. Limericks are specific poems with rules about which lines rhyme and how many syllables they can have.

Jolly
And
Not
Extremely
Tidy

(sort of a sentence, if that's ok?)

Philip
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I suppose they are mnemonics or acronyms really.

That's the example Nigel. She then suggested the next name to be described - Janet - which Fiona then did. She then suggested Philip as the next one for someone else to do.
EDIT. - I see the penny dropped and you've removed the post I responded to!

Whoops! Sorry, it was mean't to be acrostics (I get mixed up with these kinds of things!) I've changed it now though!

Yes, sentences are fine!

Just saying, that should be a double o! Have you read Disappearing Cat? Well, Tupping is the chief gardener in the next door house to Pip's house ( Lady Candling ) Yes, he is in FFO all right! Read Disappearing Cat soon, it's a pretty good book, with Bets the 'Centre Of Attention!'
