No.

The main points of the first half of the clues are;
"an ill wind", "change direction of life", so think of someone who because of something wind related was able to change the direction of their life.

The title was a mistake, I meant Last Term at Malory Towers.

If it's not, then is it The Second Form at Malory Towers?

Yes it is "Second Form at Malory Towers"
The "ill wind" is the one that blows Mary Lou off the cliff leading to Daphne's bravery, confession and change of character.
