Daisy wrote:Wasn't Gillian married to David Bavistock? so I think it could be " David Bavistock (or was it Baverstock?) was the son-in-law of Enid."
I think Gillian was married to Donald Baverstock.

Oo, I almost missed this. Eddie is right; it was Donald Baverstock. He was a noted BBC TV producer and for a time, Controller of Programmes.
Over to you, Eddie.

Hmmm. I'm guessing some of the words here, but...
In The Island of Adventure, Craggy-Tops overlooks the mysterious Isle of Gloom?

Hadn't forgotten this either, honestly!
I just don't think I've ever devised a ditloid before.
Try this...
The S-S G to the F of the F T

The trouble with this type of game is we can't get any clues along the way... for instance I would like to guess S-S is Secret Seven but I can't think of what comes next!

Except Secret Seven isn't hyphenated. 'G to the F' could be 'goes to the front'. 'F T' could be 'Family Tree', but probably not both together. Scratches head.

Yes.. the hyphen is intriguing. I must say "F T made me think 'Fawlty Towers' at first!

Anita - that's brilliant. I bet you're right.

And she is!
Well done, Anita. I thought the S-S would get everyone thinking "Secret Seven" first, but the hyphen is the giveaway...
