You're very close, Ilsa, but it's not Silly Sammy. The name of this character is older than Enid Blyton herself - by several hundred years! Mind you. she did change it to Silly when writing subsequent stories about him and even this story was changed to Silly when used again. But it's definitely not Sammy.
