No, the absence of a bedstead was part of the problem.... all they had was a mattress on the floor. Any more ideas anyone?

Oh gosh, I should know, I should know (but I gave away my copy of Island to a fellow forum member, so I couldn't cheat even if I wanted to)... it wasn't the window sill, was it?
