I must admit I wouldn't have thought of that one at all until you said the guess of the wardrobe was "fairly close"!

Next (hopefully easier):

What kind of creature was "Sally Slithery", and in which book did she appear?

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Was she some kind of worm, like a glow worm? She was in Mountain of Adventure, I think.

Hmmm. I think I'll have to be tough here and not give anything away until someone gives both correct answers, or we could end up with two winners. (Serves me right for setting a two-part question.)

Umm... My brain is not working today, though I recall that name .
Just going to guess...
1)a worm - I'd say a slow worm (might be a fast worm!!!!)
2) Mountain of Adventure

Both right, Maria Esther! :D Your turn.

Sorry, Snugglepot — I know a glow worm is very close to a slow worm name-wise, but they're quite different species-wise! (Actually, a slow worm isn't really a worm at all — bonus brownie points to anyone who knows what kind of creature it is. Pip the Pixie may be able to help you... )

Thanks Courtenay!

An easy one:
What happened to Raya Uma at the end of the book in the River of Adventure? Why does he want to be taken to the hospital??

Sorry, all — forgot it was my turn! Here's another one...

Other than Dapple (who stays with them the longest), can you name any two of the donkeys that are given to Bill and the children for their ride into the mountains?

I have no idea, do you want to ask a new question or should I?
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

You go ahead, Dinah, if you like. I've forgotten the possible answers myself and would have to look them up!

Thanks, I thought I might restart the Quiz again...

Why did a man talk to Lucy-Ann while they were waiting for Bill at the train station?
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

I'm not sure, but was he one of the men who was after Bill and he recognised the children and was checking them out to see if they knew anything about Bill?

It was because Lucy-Ann dropped her mack on the ground and he told her about it.
