I think I've spotted a few extraneous items that definitely would not usually be found in Fatty's shed - can you see any unusual items that don't belong?

It must have been the era when being 'fat' was suddenly decided to be bad! Mid 70's.
These puzzles are very atmospheric though - great lighting. My favourite is still the burnt cottage one - lovely colours!
I somehow imagined that Fatty's Shed was 'Fatty's Shed' and wouldn't have any garden equipment in it - maybe I'm wrong!

I can't think that Fatty's shed had any gardening equipment in it at all, let alone a lawn mower and hose pipe to which a gardener would need access... no locking the shed for Fatty if that was the case.

Yes - I agree - the shed was Fatty's 'Den' with all his secret stuff in there, disguises, greasepaint, false beards. wigs etc.

How can the contents of Fatty's shed be complete without any mention of Buster's basket???

I agree Betsy's Bear - surely Buster must have had a basket in the shed.
I cannot find any mention of this in the books though. There are lots of mentions of Buster's basket that was attached to Fatty's bike, and even a basket inside Fatty's house, but no reference to a basket in the shed!!
He let himself in at the garden-door, and he and Buster went upstairs very quietly. They disturbed nobody. Buster curled up at once in his basket and went to sleep.
Fatty lay awake thinking over everything for a few minutes, and then fell off to sleep as suddenly as Buster..
Can anyone else find a reference to a basket in the shed in the text, or maybe even one in an illustration?

I thought it was mentioned in The Mystery of Banshee Towers when Buster and Ern's dog curl up in it together.

Maybe all Buster had was a blanket on the ground in Fatty's shed (I think British people call it a rug?).

They are! I'm a little disappointed that Enid only thought of Ern's dog in what turned out to be the last book of the series, when she was no longer at her best. Bingo could have been heaps of fun as a recurring character if he'd come into the series earlier.

I agree Chrissie. He's such a plucky, heartwarming and endearing little fellow, he could surely carry a whole series all by himself.
We could even have a
Bingo & Timmy crossover!
