Here's another :

When poor Bets had a terrible cold,
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

When poor Bets had a terrible cold,
Her mum said, "now do as you're told"
'Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living.

Courtenay wrote:As along the road he did trudge,
Young Snubby was gorging on fudge,
"I'm famished" said Ju,
"Need something to chew,"
And gave Snubby a huge knock-out nudge!

(Poor Julian, first we've had him swearing, and now committing violent assault... I'm not sure how he ended up in the same limerick as Snubby, either, but never mind!  )
Well, I thought the first line was a totally different limerick...didn't realise John was carrying on, so I introduced Snubby!!

Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Me too - except I'd rather have 'strawberry mould' if there is some, please! ;-)

And another:

When the Five went to the fair,
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

When the Five went to the fair,
A bearded lady was there,
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

When the Five went to the fair,
A bearded lady was there,
Inside a large tent,
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Inside a large tent,
After money was spent,
They all got a souvenir hair.

 Nice one, everyone, especially the ending from Lucky Star. I was thinking of putting in a line about it being Fatty in disguise, but figured it was meant to be the Five as in Famous, not as in Find-Outers!
