Six Cousins Series Quiz

Post by Jeffery Greyling »

As I couldn't find a quiz on this series, I thought I'd start one, because the first book is one of my favourite Blytons. Hopefully in the next couple of days I should receive Six Cousins Again by post! I'm looking forward to reading it, as I've never read it before.

My first question: Why wouldn't Crackers be friends with Roderick in the first book?
"I gave half a crown to a beggar because I saw him yawn; he was a fellow-sufferer."

Hi.This is my first post. Six Cousins Series sure is a fine series and I have read only one book so far.Well, let me guess... Is it because Crackers didn't trust him enough?

Because Rodderick was too afraid to be friends with him?
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Hmm... This is a bit hard. Since I have read only one book in the series I find the question difficult. Okay, is it because Roderick was far too sophisticated and didn't like dogs much or perhaps Roderick was mean towards Crackers.

Well, that's all the answers i've got. I can't think of anything else. :?

Why don't you tell the answer. :D

I seem to remember that when Susan met Roderick with Crackers, Roddy pushed him off and although he wanted to make friends later, Crackers didn't want to "be friends" for quite a long time! I wonder if this is the answer you're looking for John?

OK. What was the title of the book Cyril lent the hermit, who, incidentally didn't return it?

A. It was a Greek dictionary.

Q. How did Cyril save up enough money to buy a portable wireless?

Cherry-picking. :D
In came the Taggertys. They were clean, except Biddy knees looked like she had been crawling half a mile in some muddy place.

Feel free to ask a new question if you like, Snehalatha, as Jeffery Greyling hasn't been on the forums for a long time.
