Thanks. I am rather weedy and cowardly but I do like birds and boats though I am apt to be cheated by fuel sellers.

Thanks.

I am not British, but I was sent to live with a British family.
I was placed under a disguise to protect me.
Another was kidnapped in mistake for me.
Who am I?

Are you Berta from Five Have Plenty of Fun? 8)

I'll warm me with your echoes

Yes, Rob, I am Berta.
I thought about Gussy being mistaken for the answer, but he was kidnapped, along with the other children except for Jack, so I felt that would narrow it down.

Thanks Snugglepot! :-D

I can't really help being naughty - that's the way I was made.
I delight in playing tricks on everyone, and even though I promise to turn over a new leaf, I never do.
But I can also be brave and sometimes I can be very kind and helpful.
I once rescued someone in an aeroplane!

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Sounds like it has to be Snubby from the Barney Mysteries! :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
