Okay, this is just a light hearted game but the idea is, I give the name of two characters and the next person says which they like best (and why, if you like), and then adds another character to the winner of the previous post and asks the NEXT poster which of those two they like best .. if that makes sense

Allie - I like and admire her rather a lot

Mamzelle. She is a likeable character. And she's French.

Mamzelle Dupont or Ern Goon.

Ern. In the face of considerable obstacles, he became a decent young man - and he had great taste in heroes!

Ern Goon/Pat O'Sullivan

Ern Goon. I agree that he becomes decent and thoroughly likeable. Pat O'Sullivan is a bit colourless.

Ern Goon or Elizabeth Allen?

Ern Goon. For his "portry" and standing up to his dreadful Uncle.

George Kirrin! With a name like mine, easy. I have great admiration for her
