I'm not reading a book by Mary Pollock, sounds fishy.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

I've had a good chuckle reading all the captions. Runner-up is Fiona with:
"Here Kathleen, have a look at the latest reprint from Egmont. Your name is now Katy and we get a whole five pounds a week!"
The winner is Rob with this witty, topical entry:
Elizabeth wasn't sure what to make of her new 'Theresa May bob' - but at least it looked 'strong and stable'.
Well done, Rob, and over to you!
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Mother was astonished at what her children had achieved using a fretsaw, some old planks and a sheet of sticky-backed plastic. These Blue Peter "makes" were quite something.

Tony smiled as Moonraker and Julie tried in vain to get Anita to sit on their newly-glued chair seat.
