Re: Caption Competition
I did take a photo of Tony sitting in a 300-year-old privy at Mompesson House (he wasn't using it, I hasten to add!) but it didn't come out too well. Besides, this is a Blyton-themed game and toilets don't exist in her world.
Just out of interest, we had Courtenay's Ship of Adventure picture once before (back in March 2007) and the captions were quite different:

Anyway, here's a new one. Happy Captioning!

"Here Kathleen, have a look at the latest reprint from Egmont. Your name is now Katy and we get a whole five pounds a week!"
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Children this is a book, you open it up and read it. Joan you are not to swipe the pages.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Elizabeth wasn't sure what to make of her new 'Theresa May bob' - but at least it looked 'strong and stable'.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

As George admired her new look in the mirror, Dick found himself wishing Anne would give him one of her "girly makeovers" next.
