Leaves: The leaves on the willow trees which started to grow inside Willow House as the stakes the children had planted took root and made the walls more dense. (I'm reading "The Secret Island" at the moment. )

Fish: In the short story "A Nest for a Fish!", Pip comes up with a clever idea to protect the stickleback's eggs from being eaten by tadpoles and water beetles — "Build a nest for them, as the birds do!" And, of course, it works. I've never seen a stickleback in real life, but they're another part of Britain's natural world that I know about thanks to Enid Blyton! :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Lagoon: What else but the lagoon in The Sea of Adventure where those mysterious parcels are dropped by a gang who are very determined to prevent anyone from discovering them... One of the most thrilling and dangerous adventures in all Enid's books — as others were saying in a recent discussion, it's possibly the best she ever wrote.

Door: So many doors! One that comes to mind is the door hidden behind boxes in the cellar at Craggy Tops which leads to the underground passage to the shore.

Curtain:
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Envelope: The one in which the Find-Outers place duplicates of the false clues they laid in and around the cats' cage in The Mystery of the Disappearing Cat, so that if challenged (which they are), they can produce the proof that they were false clues...
