Scroll down further to Footage, and you will see. about half way in, a brief clip of the only surviving footage of part of one episode. (You will probably see Leslie Crowther and Peter Glaze for a few seconds before the Noddy clip starts.)
Very interesting, Dave. Thanks for that.

Good thing for the doll that the photo didn't come out the way Noddy expected!

Yes, and it was also one of the first programmes to be shown on the new ITV channel in Britain.

Yes, and in the meantime it seems Noddy was (inadvertently) into taking selfies long before the rest of us!

... thanks, I presume, to the BBC's infamous verdict years earlier that they wouldn't have any Enid Blyton programmes because she was a little too full of "Pinky-winky Doodle-doodle Dumm-dumm"! :P

Back to the game, I think I've almost figured it out, but I've a nasty suspicion it's another case of my not having read the book in question and not knowing who exactly it's referring too... :x

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
