Yes! I wondered if anyone would pick up on that! :D

Really enjoyed The Railway Children on stage today in London! :D Very creative production, excellent acting, very true to the book — I was impressed with how little of the original story they left out or changed to any great extent — and very moving and heart-warming. Well worth going to see and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who'd be interested. Thanks again to Rob for the tip-off about the special offer for tickets.

Glad you enjoyed it, Courtenay! I still remember certain scenes quite vividly from 2010.

Sounds absolutely wonderful, Courteney. I've never been to anything like that before. I can imagine how atmospheric it must be, though. I'm putting it into my wish bucket for the near future! :D

Nostalgic, innocent yet poignant at the same time, The Railway Children was a beautifully made film. The idea of a father being wrongly imprisoned and the family falling into despair was touching. This was what I would call a quintessentially 'English' film.

I must be losing my marbles. I am sure I posted about this, but it seems to have vanished. Maybe I didn't press submit.

Anyway, here goes again. You are very fortunate to be in correspondence with Sally, number 6. We are watching the complete series of Man About the House again, which stars Sally alongside Paula Wilcox and Richard O'Sullivan. A great comedy series that includes the wonderful Yootha Joyce and Brian Murphy. (I hope I've got the names right!)

I must look up Sally on Twitter! :D

You'll be pleased to know that you're not losing your marbles, Nigel. I read your earlier post which certainly appears to have vanished.

That's odd. Someone told me a few days ago that a PM they had sent had also "disappeared". If the two things are connected I hope it was just a short-lived blip, but please let Tony or me know if any other posts or PMs are affected.

I agree Nigel. Man about the House is one of the best comedy's to date. A classic. Yes, look up Sally Thomsett on Twitter. She's very approachable, friendly & will answer any questions you ask regarding her career, inc the Railway Children, etc. A real down to earth lady. :D
