The Enid Blyton Society

A Wrinkle in Time is one of my favourite novels and I was wondering if anyone had read it.

It was published in 1962 and won a Newbery Award as well as several others.

I only read this as an adult (was probably too busy reading Blyton as a child) and agree that it is really good. I haven't bothered with her other novels as I heard that they are a bit didactic and not as good.

I've read this too and think it's very good. My first reading was an an adult also.

I myself would recommend other L'Engle novels to you as I have enjoyed several others. I like the novels continuing the adventures of the Murry family and Calvin (Calvin and Meg eventually marry.) They're also referenced in other novels, some that they're not directly involved in. In chronological order, A Wind in the Door follows Wrinkle..., then Many Waters (which focuses on the twins, Sandy and Dennys) and then A Swiftly Tilting Planet. There's also An Acceptable Time which I haven't yet read.

I also enjoyed The Young Unicorns and The Arm of the Starfish.
