Gibsons Famous Five Jigsaw

I have looked in the cave first this time but I can't find it (unless I'm looking in the wrong section!)

Has anybody seen this?

I've always really wanted a jigsaw of the book covers, but why oh why have they left three off? :x It would still have worked out as a rectangle so it's not as if they had to lose them? What a shame! :(

Weirdly, it has Five Go to Demon's Rocks written on the cover of Five Go Off to Camp (middle right), even though both Demon's Rocks and Camp are featured correctly elsewhere on the box!

Edit: I've only just scrolled down and seen that there are also jigsaws of the covers of some of Bruno Vincent's books.

I haven't got any modern jigsaws in the Cave and this one is about as modern as you can get as I think it is a 2017 production! Apart from having two copies of Demon's Rocks, they have also managed to use the name Kirren!! Good start Gibson!

It would be a nice puzzle, if the covers and titles were right, and if they'd included the three books they missed out! Why not add another row of three and then they'd have all 21...

Interestingly, there's one for sale on eBay - starting at £2.99 - and according to the photo, the covers are now correct. :-)

I was a fan of jigsaw puzzles. I used to buy all the top quality jigsaw brands like Ravensburg, Hop, Trefl, King, Gibsons, Castorland and Falcon. They produce the best sceneries jigsaws.

I may buy this Famous Five jigsaw later. Thank you, Ice Maiden. :D

That ebay one has the right spelling and covers so presumably someone pointed out the mistakes and it was corrected. Pity they didn't correct them on the number of covers too so they could include the three missing ones as well. It's spoiling what is otherwise a nice jigsaw because it isn't complete, which would annoy me immensely.

It would be simple enough to make your own complete one though, copy the cover images from the Cave into Publisher or something, arrange them into three rows of seven, resize, save the image and upload it to one of those make your own personalised gifts sites to have it made into a jigsaw. Easy!

I would have bought this puzzle if the three missing covers had been included. It would have looked nice when complete with a frame and hung on the wall of my library.

Agree with others that it would have been excellent if only they had included all 21 covers. They have even reproduced three of the 18 they did use on the side! Surely they could at least have put the remaining three there! Always a missed opportunity where Enid is concerned it seems.

It really is a shame they missed the other three books. At first I thought there would have been an odd one over, but of course there wouldn't. Seems odd, but I guess it was to do with the shape and size of the puzzle. It would probably have been difficult to add the other three in without altering the dimensions of a 1000 piece puzzle. 8)

I saw this puzzle in a Christchurch garden centre yesterday. At 1,000 pieces it is far beyond my skills to complete. However, it was good to see the telescope the wrong way round!

Apologies if this has already been mentioned in another thread, I did a search but could find anything on it.

No worries - now merged.

Its actually not too difficult a puzzle to complete - because of all the small pictures. Very enjoyable!

One of the members of my forum who lives in the South of France had a large puzzle bought for her at Christmas and posted a picture when she finished it and which, to do it justice, I have linked to HERE rather than post it. I would like to have a go at it myself as I have had a picture on my wall of a very similar image for quite a numer of years - although it's a lot smaller than the puzzle which is 2,000 pieces and measures 97 x 75 cm. THIS is an image of my picture.
The puzzle is available on Amazon for £20.99 but I haven't go the space to do it at the moment.

I've got this jigsaw. Disappointingly when I completed it there was a piece missing and despite turning the living room upside down I didn't find it. Totally agree it's strange they missed three covers. There are a few different boxes shown on different sites though. I did take a photo of mine once it was completed but I just can't find it at the moment!

Rob, I can just about manage a 100-piece puzzle!
