Anita thank you for your recipe, I tried it and the macaroons came out perfect Looking at the other recipe it seems the only difference is the almond essence and an extra ounce of ground almonds,I can't believe the difference from such a slight alteration!
Stephen , that sounds very unpleasant, it's such a frightening feeling to choke on something. One of the reasons I've never understood the love for really hard boiled sweets and gobstoppers.
