Five Find-Outers/Famous Five crossover. Staying in Peterswood, the Famous Five encounter Fatty & his friends. With these two gangs of super sleuths, a mystery is sure to crop up! Throw in a little romance, Ern & an irritated Goon, and watch the fun ensue!
Interesting! I can't help thinking that the situation would be nightmarish! Julian would certainly rub Fatty up the wrong way, Daisy would hate George, and so would Bets, while I'm sure Goon would get a good telling off from Julian, who doesn't suffer fools gladly, if at all! Then there's the word 'romance' NOOOO! That word doesn't fit in with Enid Blyton (unless its grown-up versions like Julie wrote about the Find Outers).
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
Yes, please do tell us what you both think when you've read this story. I've got so much on the go at the moment, that I can't really spend the time sitting at the computer reading a story.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"
Not for me at all. I hate it when other people take well loved characters and start messing with their personalities, settings etc. I don't read fan fiction at all but the ones published on this site are at least respectful efforts to provide continuation stories. This one sounds dreadful to me.

Those of you who remember the attempts years ago to do Round Robin stories on the forum may recall that someone introduced Fatty into a story which had begun with the Five... it carried on but eventually there was only Dick Kirrin and me left contributing to it. We finished it - but as Fatty of course had to include the others at some point we ended up with the Kirrins plus Jo and the five Find-Outers. Juggling ten characters and giving them some kind of role was not easy!
'Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living.

Was that the one where someone decided to have Fatty's 20 cousins arrive at his door or something similarly ridiculous? I remember contributing to it but stopping because one or two people had taken it beyond the realms of fantasy.

I enjoy reading the continuation novels such as the one Rob is serialising but I'm not interested in stories where the characters from different series are mixed up. They just don't seem right to me.
