Thank you for all your interest in this very unique caravan.
The mystery as to the 1964 forged EB receipt, and the build location still intrigues me greatly.
It was mentioned, in this thread, that in 1964, £100 did seem a lot of money for a caravan that was possibly 9 years old, we now know it was built in 1961, so the receipt was for a 3 year old caravan and a caravan that was very expensive for its time, when you consider you could have purchased a new Sprite for £200 in 1961.

I hope you don't find the "Writers" theme and the name offensive in any way. I am telling the mysterious story to people viewing the van (a lot of people), but back it up with your expert opinion to the whole saga....Most people seem disappointed to the truth.

In all, it was a lot of work to restore, but I have enjoyed it and it's attracting a massive audience.
It is booked in to display at the Footman James show, in Manchester this September. Looking forward to that.

Hope this works.....The following link is to a "YouTube" video of Enid last weekend.

Thank you All.

That's lovely.... and I liked Noddy and his friends relaxing on the seat! I can well imagine people would want to believe Enid once owned it and feel disappointed when it turns out to have been unlikely and can't be proved. The story is a bit like one of her mysteries - we should get the Find-Outers on the case.

Many thanks for sharing the photos and video, Frenchy. That's a beautiful restoration, very much in keeping with the era. A delightful little caravan which looks extremely welcoming!

Wonderful photos! I really love this caravan, whether it belonged to Enid or not. Who knows? There may be a bigger mystery to it that we will never unravel - but that adds to the intrigue.

personally I love the Blyton touches. You've done it up beautifully. 8)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
