The mystery -cont'd.

This item was found in an expensive Christmas Cracker - but what is it and what is it used for?

Intriguing. It looks rather like one of those copper bracelets which some people say can help ease arthritis. On the other hand, the heart suggests a love token.

Incidentally, looking at the location of Finsbury Square I realise I must have passed very close to the drinking fountain following a recent hospital appointment in London, when I visited Bunhill Fields Cemetery and Wesley's Chapel (the graves of John Bunyan, Daniel Defoe and William Blake can be seen at Bunhill Fields) and then walked to Spitalfields Market.

Oh. This is easy for me because my aunt wears the exact bracelet without the heart. You are right, Anita. It's the alternative treatment to ease arthritis.

A napkin ring, perhaps?

If it came in a cracker, I assume it's not very big? I thought it was either a 'belly bar' or nose ring (to sit in the nostrils).

Great suggestions from Anita and Katharine, but sadly not the uses the makers of the crackers intended! :D

How big is it, and is it plastic or metal?

Can you unscrew one or both balls and use it as a keyring?
