Hi everyone,

I only owned two audio tapes, they were Sea of Adventure and Secret Seven on the Trail. I spent countless hours listening to them but threw them out over 20 years ago because I deemed myself "too old" for them.
I'm wondering if anyone on here would be able to help me out as I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I've checked YouTube, eBay, Amazon, Audible etc but to no avail. There was a Sea of Adventure tape on eBay awhile ago but I missed out. :(

I would dearly love to show these to my daughter who is currently reading through the Malory Heights books. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It all depends on what version of tape they were. There are loads out there, so presumably you mean that the versions available aren't the ones you want? I have Secret Seven on the Trail but its a dramatised version.

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Hi Rob,

Yes they were the dramatised versions from Rainbow I think. They ran for around 40-45 minutes, they were on one cassette.

If they were on general sale I would gladly pay for them.

Good news, I've bought them from a chap on eBay.

Converting to mp3 as I type.

That's great - glad you found one! I think I saw one on eBay the other day, along with another tape. :-)

I have been listening again to the dramatized versions that are on iTunes.
In ' Five having a puzzling time' - Julian, Dick and Anne, invite George over..
Yet in several of the stories the five arrive at Kirrin by train and in one when they are coming home from school, they have to get a Bus into London and then a train to Kirrin.
Its not very consistent. Where are Julian, Dick and Anne supposed to live in relation to George ?

In the later books in the series it seems George's cousins live a mere bike ride from Kirrin suggesting they may have moved house.

I can't believe that no-one has a copy or maybe even uploaded them somewhere, given how much is available online these days, but so far I have drawn a blank. I wish they were still available to buy but, sadly, no...
In the intervening years, they’ve popped up on YouTube. It was great to hear them again after all this time…
