well, I haven't seen a new copy for years! I've seen a few second-hand ones - but its not like you can just order it on Amazon!

I saw a copy for £1.50 in a charity shop over the weekend, but I decided to leave it on the shelf, as it was in such poor condition.

I'm thinking of buying a 'new' copy because my old one is so well thumbed and very poor condition indeed, I've looked at it so often! I could sell my copy - but its split all down the spine and the back cover is completely off, while the front cover is loose! I don't think I'd even get £1.50 for it!

That's a testimony to how fantastic The Dossier is - only bad things get talked about.

It is an impressive book, with a lot of information to read and digest as well as plenty of illustrations and photos to drool over.

I believe there's now a sequel - The Trump Dossier. I doubt many will be drooling over that!

Not long after you posted that comment I found a second thread also called The Enid Blyton Dossier, and I merged the two. So we've got seven pages now!

That is true, Rob - although rather sad for those who write well. I realise that there is a limit to how many times you can say, "A wonderful edition" and so on, but it does seem unfair that a load of rubbish attracts pages and pages of comments, yet a work of art relatively few.

I have had the Dossier for a few years and agree that it is a beautifully produced book. I was amused to come across this in a review of the book written back in 2000.
“At only 96 pages it is incredible what the authors have managed to pack in – though this is less a mystery when you see the size of the thing. It is certainly not a book you could snuggle up in bed with, unless you have a four-poster to strap it to.”
