Yes, I agree: A Story Party At Green Hedges is a delightful collection of short stories.

I like the Holiday books - a good collection of stories plus some poems and "things to do".

I agree - they are great collections and have some lovely illustrations too. I have them all in various states of condition - but all are great reads! :)

I have all 12 Holiday Books. They are great but too big and could not fit nicely with the rest of my short stories collection.

But I would choose Mr. Pink-Whistles series and Amelia Jane series. They are fun! :D

I've never bothered with short stories. It's all about the full-length novels for me.

My introduction to Blyton as a child was via The Purnell Sunshine Library short story collections. They were published a couple of years after Enid's death but they would be my choices if I had to pick just a handful of collections to keep. It may be the nostalgia talking but they are wonderful little books. :D

I've got all the Purnell Sunshine Library books (early 1970s editions) and I love them too, John. I was enthralled by them as a young child, especially the tales of naughty children who got their comeuppance! I think most of (perhaps even all of) the stories they contain were taken from the Holiday Books. I don't own any of the Holiday Books but they look beautiful.

Yes, I have both collection and I can confirm that most stories are same.

Just a suggestion to those who want to read as many Enid Blyton short stories as possible without paying too much, you can collect 72 Award(or is it Reward?) short stories collection. :D

I've got quite a lot of those Award books (now published by Bounty) and they're a good way of getting a wide range of stories, but in many of the tales language, currency and names have been updated.

I am in the middle of cataloguing and indexing my short stories collection with the help of The Cave. Thank you so much, Tony (for entering the data) and Keith (for protecting the data) :D

I've found out that some of the entries(very few, actually) in the cave are incorrect. Or maybe I'm the one who is wrong. I just want to help to make The Cave as complete as possible. The Cave has always been a feast for my eyes for years.

1) In DRAGON MY ENID BLYTON BOOKS series, there are supposed to be 8 titles but currently, there are 6 titles. Two titles are missing:

My Seventh Enid Blyton Book and My Eighth Enid Blyton Book. I'll list down the short stories in each missing titles if needed.
