Wish I could help you, Susie, but I haven't a clue when it comes to anything technical.

Oh, that Rainbow clip is so funny, PeterPan!  Apparently, they filmed it to entertain the TV staff!

I also loved Sesame Street as a child, especially Bert and Ernie, but I was never so keen on Playschool.

Back to discussing television... and I know from a previous thread that Anita would have us believe she watched very little as a child!!

Yes, I remember 'A Handful of Songs'. It was a typical 1970's jolly hippy type sing along! I loved it.

I voted for 'Rainbow', though I must admit I enjoyed Playschool, but not for so long. I think Rainbow has so much more to it that can be appreciated by both adults and children. I used to love 'Rod Jane and Freddie' too, both in rainbow and later on in their own show (which I was really too old to watch, but used to enjoy!)

No...I didnt watch much television as a child either...

Re: The more beneficial to children? Play School or Rainbow?

Oh what a difficult choice - and I fear I have voted for the wrong one...
