Rob, I was interested to see you mentioned some Noddy magazines. When do they date from?

They're sadly only fairy modern ones - from the early 2000's - BBC ones. Nothing really exciting - but they do all have their free gifts still attached! :D

Groan, Rob, they sound like the ones we bought our children around that time and let them colour in, cut up, and generally destroy them.  I think we have the broken remains of a till drawer from one of them. Does that ring a bell?

Apart from looking awful, the 'backwards books' seems to totally defeat the object, which is apparently to make the room look tidier by blending into the wall. But once you start taking them out to actually find the one you want to read, they are going to go into a messy higgledy-piggledy pile that will draw far more attention than books neatly and properly stacked on shelves  .

I agree that the fire-place of books looks terrible, as do all the other images. To see books being looked on as an inconvenient nuisance that must be made to look as inconspicious and unoticeable as possible is as soul destroying as the blandness of the effect itself. I want to go into those rooms and turn every one of those books the right way around again so their colourfulness and vibrancy can bring the room to life again....and if the owner's don't like it they can turn themselves around to face the wall seeing as they like looking at blank spaces so much  .

Rob I have got serious admiration for your collection. And extreme jealousy. I'm as green as a Poddington Pea with envy right now  .

Thanks IceMaiden! I'm very proud of my collection, especially as around two thirds of them have good dust wrappers! And I've read about 99% of them too! :D

I rather envy you your collection of jigsaws and card games, Rob. I had four jigsaws and the Faraway Tree and Famous Five card games all of which seemed to disappear at the time of a house move which coincided with me leaving home for college. My younger sisters expressed complete ignorance of what happened to them! :?

Well, all the card games and all but one of the Whitman Find Outer jigsaws, were bought by me as an adult, ;-) And the one Famous Five Bestime Jigsaw I have (Five Get Into A Fix) was kindly sent to me free of charge by an eBay seller last year! :-D
