R.I.P Daphne (Scooby Doo - Heather North)
Another favourite from my childhood tv watching days has sadly passed away. R.I.P Daphne.
I think only Fred (Frank Welker) is the only cast member still alive from the first 1970 early series.

I used to love Scooby Doo - particularly the earlier series' - without Scrappy doo! RIP Heather North.

I loved Scooby Doo as a boy (that theme tune!) - and even the earliest Scrappy Doo series brings back a certain nostalgia. But it's still a bit intriguing that these "pesky kids" go at great lengths to disprove supernatural goings-on - in the presence of two talking dogs!

Re: R.I.P Daphne (Scooby Doo - Heather North)
I'm sure its been discussed before, but I'm convinced that Scooby-Doo was based on The Famous Five. Four children - two boys - one a definite leader, the other a bit of a clown and always hungry - two girls - one a bit of a tom-boy, the other a girlie-girl...and a dog who comes to the rescue...solving mysteries...all sounds very familiar to me!

I loved Scooby Doo (couldn't stand Scrappy but then could anyone?!) and Daphne was my favourite. Her voice in the originals was unbeatable, nobody else was a patch on it. RIP Heather North .
