That is true Pete. We are lucky to have holly growing in the garden which gets a pruning in December!

At first, I misread it as golly growing in the garden which gets pruning in December!!! I hope not!

This one today - it's probably my favourite so far!

Notice how it hedges its bets by wishing both a Happy and a Merry Christmas on the front of the card!

These are lovely Pete, I missed this thread or I'd have posted sooner. I don't have a scanner but I'll try and copy some of my cards tomorrow, it's interesting to see what different designs there are.

What a heavenly collection of cards, Pete! Lovely to display such attractive and colourful greetings at Christmas - only trouble is how bare it all looks when they come down...

Thanks for sharing these, Pete. I've had some lovely ones too and will try to share some of them here, although I don't have a scanner, so I'm having to do photos instead, which may not be as good quality. Here are some...

And lastly one from a friend who has a flat in Hastings with an Art Deco theme, so this was a very appropriate card she found:

So do I. On the inside it has "Merry Christmas from Down Under" with the "Down Under" written upside down (ha ha ha), so Dad has written in it upside down as well.

I'm sorry my hasty photos don't do the cards justice — the colours in all of them are actually much brighter!

I had one from Australia too - no picture but a nice message inscribed in a Christmas bauble "Sending Christmas Wishes all the way to you", then under that "from across the miles" and inside "with lots of love from all the way over here!" "Merry Christmas"

It's nice to receive ones from so far away, isn't it — especially when they're from family or friends you don't see often. I must admit I wasn't as good... I just sent an e-card to my family to save on postage! But it was a nice one and they appreciated it. (I will be seeing them next month anyway.)

I've finally managed to get some results out of the photo editing site (I think my internet was running slow before), so I've just gone back and brightened all my photos of the cards — still not perfect, but closer now to how they actually look.
