LOL I was a little surprised at Nigel's tone to Rob as I had thought they were friends so thanks for the clarification :)

I think that Toff will win but Iain might be a surprise contender

I'd like Toff or Jennie to win. I'm really not keen on Iain; he strikes me as very patronising, so I don't want him to win.

I wasn't keen on him at first but he's grown on me. Apparently he suffers from bad depression and anxiety which I empathise with. I also feel he was rather alienated by some of the other guys in the group

Although I don't watch it, as a Corrie fan, I'd quite like to hear Jennie had won! :-D

Like others, I've seen numerous clips of the Sleb show in between other programmes. I got the gist of it. I thought nothing of it at all.

I think it would be pretty hard to avoid knowing what it was all about, I agree! Its on in every break, shoved in our faces, lol! You'd have to be living on the moon (with no internet connection!) to be as Nigel suggests and not know anything about it at all! :?

I think if there were no creepy crawlies and it wasn't set in the jungle I would probably enjoy it as I think Ant & Dec are great presenters.

So no - nothing interests me less than so-called celebs (washed up has-been's) trying to 'entertain' on 'reality' TV. I'd rather watch paint dry.
It seems a profound mystery to me, but I have recently been seeing the word "Sleb" everywhere, and can't figure out why it should show up everywhere in a short time, seemingly independently. I didn't even know what it meant, but I am now gathering it's short for "celebrity". I must say I have always found totally incomprehensible the apparent fascination with celebrities many people seem to have - I find them profoundly boring and uninteresting, and just obviously don't "get" it.
I do not watch "reality" television. (Well, I don't even own a television, and usually see anything only when visiting my mother, who hates "reality" shows, considers them appalling.) But once when I was visiting a friend of mine some years ago, I did have the misfortune to watch a "Big Brother" episode, because she was watching it and I sort of had no choice. Anyway, I settled down and tried to see if I could figure out what merit it might have, considering how hugely popular it was (at that time, especially).
Well, my examination was in vain. Despite spending the hour and a half sitting there watching, I could not even figure out what it was about: it didn't even seem to be *about* anything at all - wasn't even funny. My friend keep saying how absolutely appalling and dreadful it was - but she still kept watching, cackling with laughter every now and then.
So reality television, celebrity culture, and all that are still a complete mystery to me - and probably very likely to remain so.

Regards, Michael.
