E-Bay Problems

Post by Katharine »

Has anyone here ever had problems logging into E-Bay? I can't log into my account. I may have used the wrong password, as I haven't been on for a while, so tried a few versions of what I thought it was, then requested an e-mail to re-set my password. It shows the correct e-mail address, but nothing has come through, despite me requesting it several times. I've checked my Spam folder, and nothing there either.

The next step would appear to be that I have to set up a new user ID, which I don't want to do, I've had that one for more than 10 years, and although I didn't have a very high score, I'd got 100% positive feedback.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had similar problems?

So far I haven't had similar problems - but I tend to go on eBay at least once a day, checking to see if I sold anything (or spending my money!) so maybe its because you hadn't been on there for a while? 8)

Isn't there a link to click on for forgotten password/log in details? I have never had a problem with either eBay nor PayPal, thankfully.

Yes there is a link Nigel, and I requested an e-mail with a new password, but despite trying several times, haven't received one. The other option is to get a pin number sent to my phone, but that's not working at the moment! I could try using my mobile, but I don't give that number out to organisations is I can avoid it, as I don't want to be bombarded by sales calls and useless texts.

I'm sure you have already, but it is worthwhile checking your spam/junk folder.

Yes, I did check for SPAM, but there's nothing there. When our landline is working again I'll try and ring them and see what they say.

eBay are a law unto themselves, I think! Many times over the last two years I find that I try to make a purchase and I get a message saying 'this seller does not accept payment in American dollars'... etc. Nothing surprises me with eBay any more.
