He has been a part of my life on TV ever since The Generation Game, which I loved as a child.

1928 - 2017.

Show business won't be the same without him. RIP Sir Brucie.

Oh no! What a shame. I'll always remember growing up with the Generation game hosted by Brucie! Such a natural entertainer. One of the true, genuine stars. Never swore to get laughs. I'm gutted he's passed away. Farewell Brucie!

I agree - I used to love the Generation Game and the conveyor-belt was the stuff of every child's dream - especially 'the cuddly toy' lol!

Sad news. I also loved watching The Generation Game as a child.

I was always impressed by one of his many achievements, which often gets overlooked. He was a briliant jazz pianist. His style was similar to that of Nat King Cole, but he was no copyist. An easy swing, which appeared to be effortless.

We often quote his and Tess Daly's catch-phrase "Keeeeeep daaaancing", loved "Strictly" with the two of them presenting.
