The May issue of "Gardeners' World", which is currently on sale for £4.75, includes a 2 for 1 Entry card and guide. This enables the holder and one other to visit any of 417 gardens listed for the price of one ticket. Included in the offer is Exbury Gardens with an entry fee of £11.50 for adults and OAPS. With a 2 for 1 card, the cost for two people would be £11.50. The cost for children aged 3 to 15 is £3.30. The magazine has 188 glossy pages and is worth having even if it didn't include the garden entry offers.

Interesting to see that Gardeners' World knows where to use an apostrophe, whereas Teachers World doesn't!

Nigel.. is this a case where the apostrophe has been dropped as in "Kings Cross"?

I am surprised that Teachers World didn't have an apostrophe, as when it was published, rules of grammar were strictly upheld. Another dropped apostrophe can be seen at Foyle's bookshops. They always had the apostrophe, but for the past few years it has fallen off.

As for King's Cross station, I am sure I have seen that the apostrophe has now gone, but searching Google, I couldn't find it! I did come across these:

We have a bakery chain in Australia called Bakers Delight. It always bugs me, wondering whether it should properly be Baker's or Bakers'... how many bakers are delighted??

And then we have the group "Beggars opera" that also omitted the apostrophe...

Bakers Delight could be correct without any apostrophe, it could mean that 'the bakers delight people with their food' as in "the bakers delight us"

Very true, although I still can't help suspecting that wasn't what they were thinking...

The posts about missing apostrophes are very interesting, but let's not lose sight of the purpose of this thread, namely to draw attention to the May issue of "Gardeners' World" with its 2 for 1 garden entry offers.
