Ooh! It may well be Bruce, as I looked it up and it is Scottish! In any case, if it is Bruce, I think it's an awesome name!

My cousin sister recently had a baby girl, and she's just Baby, or something similar to that, and is gonna be till April! We traditionally have a naming ceremony, often when the baby is not even a month old, when the parents reveal the name. I dunno why they're waiting for so long. For one thing, prenatal sex determination is not allowed in India, (to maintain a healthy sex ratio, female fetus abortions are way too common here. ), so parents have to either come up with two names, one for a boy and one for a girl, or decide to wait.

Whenever I hear the name 'Bruce' I can't help thinking 'nice to see you, to see you nice!' ;-)

Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

I guess it's just me who thinks of the most unlikely namesakes! My niece called her little boy Dylan, and I immediately thought of the rabbit from The Magic Roundabout!!

Of course, Barney is a good Blyton name!

Or maybe 'Blyton' would be good!!

Funny that should come up! We did mention Bruce (as in Bruce Banner) but Ewan vetoed it immediately because his surname is Campbell and there is a "famous" actor called Bruce Campbell. I say "famous" because I've never heard of him!

I'm enjoying all your guesses so far though, guys . None of you are close yet.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Blaine?

(Wolfgang is good at coming up with lists of names - I'm recalling the naming of Katharine's guinea pig! )
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.
