As long as I'm not legally bound to go with the poll results .
I had forgotten about Noddy, those would be good to start with as well.

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

What a cheering thought!Fiona1986 wrote:I had forgotten about Noddy...
As far as Blytonian names are concerned, some of my own favourites are Dinah, Lotta, Barney and Kit.

I know someone called 'Summer'! It suits her as well. She has blonde hair like golden corn in a field, & bright Blue eyes like a beautiful Summer sky...& a smile that melts many a young Man's heart!Anita Bensoussane wrote:What a cheering thought!Fiona1986 wrote:I had forgotten about Noddy...

Congratulations, Fiona.
My choice of names would be Lucy Ann and Jack.

Very sincere congratulations Fiona. The baby could not have a better mother. You will love reading all the fantastic range of Blyton's books to them. I still remember how much I enjoyed doing so to my two daughters before they went to sleep - they always wanted just one more chapter!

I have just had a thought - you have got aunty Stef to help make a fuss of the child. She is very good with children!

Many congratulations, Fiona! I hope everything goes well and I'm sure you'll make an amazing mum.Fiona1986 wrote:He or she is getting no choice in the matter, they will be getting read Blyton books from the very start. Due 31st of July .
31st July - Harry Potter's birthday, no less!
I think the Mr. Twiddle stories are amusing for really small children. They're short and funny, and each one is a variation on a theme which I think children like.

I had completely forgotten that was Harry's birthday! I sent my mum this Pin on Pinterest last night, and she thinks she could make one so it's quite apt! (Not that I expect any child of mine to be even remotely on time!)

If you're eleven days late then baby could be born on my ..... Err no I meant Enid Blyton's birthday! I wouldn't want to wish that on you though.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Quentin is a good solid sounding name!!!

If it's a boy, you could go for a good solid Scottish name — Andy. Just don't let on that it's not after Andy Murray, but Andy in The Adventurous Four!!

Of course, there's George or Georgina...
A friend of mine called her daughter Georgina after The Famous Five. She called her son Luke, after Luke Skywalker and she called her youngest son Harrison - after George Harrison!
