It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thanks, all.

Ewan has already said he will veto any 'Enid Blyton names'... but aside from that one of the big decisions to be made is where to start with her books! I'm thinking Amelia Jane as that's what I was started on. Any other suggestions?

Amelia Jane would be a good name, just don't tell Ewan. Enid is quite a good name too, just tell him it's from The Worst Witch and he can't object. Bit of a problem with those names if baby is a boy though.

Maybe we could run a poll on what to call your baby? :D

As for which book to start with, well I think there's only one choice, it's got to be Noddy, although Amelia Jane isn't a bad idea, or there's the book of fairies? How about getting hold of the Modern Teaching books, or the Eileen Soper nature plates?
