Ah well, every Christmas card, ornament and decoration is down, all done and dusted, bagged up and put away... Luckily ritual and tradition are a matter of choice and preference, even convenience, we have an annual... tradition  of going round the village of Westfield not too far from Hastings where a number of houses put on a wonderful display of lights, literally festooned around the property, for charity from 6 Dec - 6 Jan, and others are in pitchy darkness, each to their own!

I've just been to the local shopping centre and you can still sit on a chair next to the Christmas tree which is flanked by 2 Father Christmases (not real ones). There were no takers. I guess it will be taken down soon, maybe over the weekend.
I don't see how it can be bad luck to leave it late, just a superstition like next Friday (the 13th) I suppose.

Somebody wrote into radio 2 that if you leave your tree and decorations up after twelfth night you have to leave them up all the year to undo the bad luck.
