Just heard the sad news of the passing of Andrew Sachs — best known, of course, as Manuel in Fawlty Towers.
R.I.P. and thanks for all the laughs — never to be forgotten.

Sad news, indeed. His portrayal of the hapless Manuel in the classic Fawlty Towers was brilliant & he quickly became one of my favourite comedy characters. He actually died on 23 November & was buried a few days ago. Obviously his family wanted no publicity on such a sad occasion...& quite rightly so. R.I.P. Andrew Sachs.

RIP Andrew Sachs. he was a brilliant comic actor. Manuel is a classic creation.
