Football

Post by John Pickup »

As Rob pointed out football chat is appearing on two or more threads so it makes sense to have a dedicated thread for it.

So, we've been relegated to our own Football thread!!!! Seriously, though, I think it's a good idea. Think it'll calm down once the footie season is a few months old, when we realise our clubs haven't got a chance of doing anything... Well, at least my club hasnt!

I'd say we've been promoted to our own Football thread, Number 6.

Funnily enough, no-one on the designated football thread has yet posted anything about football.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

If I become a British citizen in future (as I hope to, if at all possible), will I be required to swear allegiance to a football team as well? And if so, how will I know which one to choose??

I support 1874 Northwich who play in the North West Counties Premier League. We were formed four years ago by fans of Northwich Victoria who had become fed up with the way the club was being run, so we are a breakaway club similar to FC United but smaller. Our average crowds are around 300 which is good for the level we play at where most teams are doing well to get attendances of 100.
