Re: News from the Ginger Pop Shop
Very sad news, Viv. One of the highlights of coming to Corfe was a visit to your super shop.
Chick and I wish you good luck for the future and hope that you will open another shop in the not-too-distant future.

Sad news indeed Viv. I hope you may be able to find another place to keep Enid's name alive in that area. Mark and I wish you all the best.

Re: News from the Ginger Pop Shop
So very sorry to hear this sad news, Viv. Both Izzy and I will miss visiting your marvelous shop - we always managed to buy some lovely items and chat to you. At least we visited you this year. You should be proud of what you have achieved and we do hope you will be able to start up again sometime.Viv of Ginger Pop wrote:Today was the last day of trading for the Ginger Pop Shop at its location in the Town House, The Square, Corfe Castle.
After over three years of uncertainty, the lease of the former post office has been sold.
There is a very small chance of something re-opening, but maybe not this year.
Thank-you to everyone who has supported me over the years.

That is sad, Viv. I do hope you can either re-open, or find another shop for your Enid Blyton stores.

Sorry to hear you are closing Viv. I'm glad that I managed one visit to your shop, even if unfortunately you weren't there that day. Good luck with any future venture you embark on.

Re: News from the Ginger Pop Shop
So sorry to hear this, Viv. I've visited your shop twice in the past (though it was before I joined the EBS, or I'd have known who you were and introduced myself!) and bought some lovely gifts for my family, including Famous Five DVDs for my mother and sister and a book on '50s style and design for my dad. I do hope things work out for you to open a new store some time in the not-too-distant future. Wishing you all the best!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Oh no, Viv! So sorry to hear your sad news. Visiting Corfe Castle won't be the same without nipping into the Ginger pop shop, that's for sure! Best wishes for the future & I hope everything works out for you soon.

Re: News from the Ginger Pop Shop
That's really sad news! Even though I never got to visit teh shop, I was always pleased that there was a focal point for the works of Enid Blyton and the times she represented. So little in Dorset seems to focus on Enid Blyton, and I always felt you were doing a sterling job of changing that. I hope you can somehow open up somewhere else.

A visit to Corfe wasn't complete without calling in to Viv's shop. We had a lovely chat this year when I bought my granddaughter her golliwog. I sincerely hope that you can continue trading somewhere in the village.

So sorry to hear that, Viv. It was a visit to that shop almost 5 years ago that made me join EBS, and I still remember chatting with you quite vividly. ( pun intended ) It was a lovely place for EB fans, and I really hope you can open up again soon.

I'm very sad to hear this news, Viv. One of the most poignant memories of visiting Corfe Castle a few years back was visiting your shop. I hope that you will find another location soon. x
