Good luck tomorrow Pete - and hope you get to eat lots of carrot cake afterwards to aid recovery - carrots being good for the eyes. ;-)

Hear hear to Robert and Jack. All the best, Pete, and yes, once you get home, this is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to the luxury Waitrose carrot cake while you recuperate!! :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Carrot cake
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carrot cake (Rübelitorte in Swiss German) is a cake that contains carrots mixed into the batter. The carrot softens in the cooking process, and the cake usually has a soft, dense texture.

I wouldn't have said the carrot cake I've eaten is 'carrots mixed into batter' - sounds revolting!
