It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Maybe you can look at this one in the meantime. It calls up The Castle of Adventure though, not The Sea of Adventure.

I like "Castle" and "Valley" even more, but "Sea" is another favorite. 8)
Thanks for the link (too bad that little eagle died).
We went to the movies this afternoon to watch "The Zookeeper's Wife". The most wonderful movie we've watched in a long time. They also had a bald eagle.

I noticed that one of the chicks was hogging the food, while another seemed rather limp. But I didn’t notice one had died - I miss a lot when watching videos. Natural selection in action - both for the chick and me and my poor vision!

I hope I get to see them fly away, like Jack did. I wonder how soon that will be.

Liam, it was not on film, they posted a photo and wrote something.
Yes, I would love to see them flying as well!

The webcam is up and running but all I've seen so far are gulls.

Years ago the Puffin web cam used to work perfectly, no matter where one was located.
Now it makes you download a flash player or whatever.
That's how you get viruses into your computer.

Flash player is what many websites use to play videos, Chrissie — I would guess your computer just doesn't have the latest version of it that the puffin cam needs. It should be perfectly safe to download the new version.

So excited the cam is now operating. I couldn't resist going on to see even though it is 2:50am UK time (11.20am my time). The massive rabbit was out grazing so worth a look.

Interesting to see there are now 3 cams, the normal 2 and now a colony cam, can't wait till its daylight over there to see what that one brings.

Happy puffin watching everyone.

cheers

You could say the same about javascript - you can use this site without it, but you don't have the full functionality then. About Flashplayer Courtenay is right, it used to be implemented automatically, but now browsers deactivate it if it isn't the newest version. At least they remind you now that there are updates available.

With the new html-standard there are alternatives available for flash, but I suppose it's only a matter of time until they find weak points to abuse them as well.

André downloaded the new Mozilla update last night and now I can watch the puffin cam again :).

The Mozilla browser update seems to have done wonders, Courtenay. I can watch the puffin cam now, but noticed that the signposts are not as readable any longer...they must have put the web cam in a new location as the higher rock on the left is now gone. I can barely read two F8 signposts and that's it. The massive rabbit sits at a triangle behind the two F8 signposts (right next to the purple flowers).

Wow the giant rabbits have certainly had a great time while we were away. Just saw 3 huge, fat rabbits. First time I've seen 3 at the same time.
Saw a few puffins together on the colony cam but they were quite a way away, so I went to the other two cams to see if I could see them closer and didn't see any on the closer cams. So its quite different this year, its going to take awhile to workout which cam to watch as the main cam.
