Hi, For those interested in the puffins.
There are the most puffins out gathering in groups I have ever seen at the moment. At least 50 or more

It must be 2:04 p.m. on Burhou right now. I can count 6 puffins which all just came out of their burrows and are walking around.

Chrissie,
What a pity you must have just missed the big gathering of puffins that Daisy and I saw about 1/2 hr before you.

I'm not complaining, Sue, 6 puffins is a lot more than I usually am able to catch.
Often all I can see is sea gulls and the rare giant rabbit. 8)

Lots of puffins again - at least 20-30. Must be one of the best years for puffins in the Channel Islands since the 1960s.

Francis, even at twilight I can still count 7 active puffins right now.

Lots of puffin activity just now right in front of the camera. One puffin flew in with a fat beak full of fish and disappeared with it down his burrow. The puffin population seems to be on the increase.

It's brilliant to see the puffins so active. I agree with Sue that the main camera is better located this year.

I used to count the puffins in the Sea of Adventure illustrations! That must have been in the 1950s.
