Thanks everyone, I've had a great birthday thanks. I've just got back from a nice meal and a couple of pints with some work colleagues at Hickory's Smokehouse in Rhos on Sea. I'd recommend it to anyone. Then we had a few more cheeky pints in Llandudno, feeling quite content right now!

Re: Happy Birthday, Deej!
Glad you enjoyed your meal, Deej. Hickory's Smokehouse in Rhos used to be a pub called The Ship when I lived in the area. I remember it well but I bet it's changed a lot inside!

Re: Happy Birthday, Deej!
Thanks, Anita. I didn't realise Hickory's used to be a pub, that's very interesting. Yes, it has changed a lot now but the food was excellent and the staff were really friendly and even got some birthday balloons to stick on our table.
I had Texas cheese on toast for a starter, rump steak for my main and salted caramel cheesecake for desert. It was a little on the expensive side but you got good value for money. I was left very impressed and would definitely go back again.

Mmm - the salted caramel cheesecake sounds fabulous! I had some salted caramel ice-cream a few months ago and it was scrumplicious (to borrow a word from the Secret Seven!)

Yes, the salted caramel cheesecake was the best part for me being a big pudding person myself. And, yes, I'd use the term 'scumplicious' to describe the cheesecake also!

Happy Birthday Deej, hope you had a great day . Salted caramel cheesecake sounds delicious if it's anything like Aldi's salted caramel biscuits and mince pies!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
