Re: Happy Birthday Darrell71!!!
Thank you everyone for the b'day wishes!
It has been a great day so far, with homemade cake, chocolate ice cream, and puranpoli, a traditional Marathi (possibly Maharashtrian) delicacy. And my dad wrote a poem for me.

Re: Happy Birthday Darrell71!!!
Thanks guys!
Yeah it's sort of a tradition. I write one for my parents on their bdays and anniversary. Dad writes one for me on my bday. And mom bakes a cake!
Chrissie, unfortunately I didn't receive any EB books, but that's OK because I got two lovely first editions from Courtenay a few weeks ago.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Happy Birthday Darrell71!!!
Thanks for the wishes everyone! Not as exciting a day as usual coz my exams are in a few days but my friend has come over and we're going out to lunch, in the evening mom plans to bake chocolate chip cookies, (me and dad are die hard fans) and cake, of course. Dad wrote a poem for me again this year too.
