That reminds me of one time when my MSOffice system couldn't learn any more words because the space provided for that was full...

You are me, I am you.

I'm enjoying the banter.

By the way, how did your meet-up go, Sunskriti and María Esther? I bet you had a brilliant time. :D

Mine's reached the stage where I'm dumping old knowledge and replacing it with new knowledge! In other words I'm forgetting a lot of stuff I used to know, lol! :-D

Yes we're quite, er, banterish sometimes. (I wish that was a word.  )

And yes it was absolutely incredible! I somehow thought I had posted about it, but I probably posted somewhere else and forgot about this. Of all the idiots... :|
We had a great time meeting her family, they're all really lovely people, and my parents loved the interaction too. We got along much as we do online, so no surprises there! And her neighborhood and area is absolutely stunning, so we had great company and great scenery, what more could you possibly want? I'll try to upload some images later.

 Reminds me of something I once saw written in a much-graffitied loo at university (if not the exact words, it was to this effect):

"The more you study, the more you learn.
The more you learn, the more you forget.
The more you forget, the less you know.
So why study?"

Underneath which someone else had written: "What are you doing at this university then??" :P

Darrell71 wrote: Obviously my cellphone has a checker (I guess all phones have them now), and I type half my texts in Marathi and half in English. It's quite confusing for the checker, I suppose, so I always end up with English words in the middle of my Marathi sentences. Fortunately, it's a smart phone, so I guess it's a smart checker, and it learns new Marathi words quickly. He's a good boy.

We're back from New Orleans. :)
Took close to 400 pics. I'll post the photos on my FB page as soon as I'll get a chance to work on them in PhotoScape.
This morning we met friends from Framingham and walked around Walden Pond, my favorite walk here in Massachusetts.
In 2 1/2 hours we'll pick up our dog who is still at the kennel.

Glad you had a great time, Chrissie, hope to see some of your photos! I envy your walk round Walden Pond, happy recollections of Thoreau! Reverting to an earlier discussion you may enjoy Frances Parkinson Keyes work, her most famous - and my favourite - of her books is DINNER AT ANTOINE'S which begins at the famous New Orleans restaurant, but she wrote extensively about Lousiana, RIVER ROAD was another great read, and another personal favourite of mine is CRESCENT CARNIVAL which was also titled IF EVER I CEASE TO LOVE, again set in New Orleans, a family saga featuring the famous Carnival.

Glad you had a great meeting, Maria Esther and Sunskiriti, it sounded delightful.

Floragord, we walked past Antoine's in the French Quarter and I remember it being mentioned on TCM in their Travel Talks documentary on New Orleans from the 1930's.
So far I'm one third done in PhotoScape with working on the New Orleans photos.

It's far easier to buy a dozen bottles from Waitrose. However, when I am given a kit for a present, I really have to brew it.
