No - not usually - most times you aren't notified again until you visit the page.

Anyway - I do often go straight onto the forums and look to see new posts (and active posts, as these are usually different!) but its convenient to look at emails and then click a link to initially get into the forums without opening a page from my bookmarks etc. I always did it this way since I joined over 10 years ago - but with windows 10 there isn't an option to make the email system recognise the emails from the forum.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my email program. Every email has the option to mark as 'Junk - or if it is in the Junk folder, 'Not Junk'.

Welcome back, Francis. Thank you for your kind comment. However, it is only a matter of time before Anita replaces me as 'Father (Mother) of the House', as she posts far more than I do these days. :)

My Outlook email has that option too - but it doesn't remember your choices.

Anyway - its now back to normal for a while - every email from EB Forums is now going straight to my inbox, not to the junk. Until the next time.

I'm getting very tired of Outlook at the moment. It's putting everything from Amazon into my junk. Despite Amazon clearly being a legitimate company legitimately emailing me a confirmation from my order etc.

I've never had that trouble with Amazon, but its similar to what happens from the EB forums. Then suddenly it rights itself. Very annoying!

Yes Spam gets through and important stuff gets put into junk - a parable of todays life. Perhaps EB emails are regarded as 'fake news'!

Surely it's possible in Outlook to overcome this problem by adding the sender to your safe list. The help screen should tell you how to this, no matter what system you are on. Messages from safe senders are never sent to the junk folder.

There used to be a drop down option to add the sender to address book, in Windows 8 versions and before, but doesn't seem to be now. A right click just brings down a list as follows -

Archive
Delete
Move
Set Flag
Mark as Unread
Move To Inbox.

Anyway, I'm not sure whether notification email addresses can be added to the address book...as I think something in them periodically changes, which may be the root of the problem...? Not sure - I'm just a computer pleb!

Never mind anyway - its righted itself now and all EB Forum messages are reaching my inbox.

Rob, I've just googled it and found this on the Knowledge Base:

https://knowledgebase.constantcontact.c ... st#Outlook" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The list seems pretty comprehensive, so I think there must be a way. If you have a separate Security system, that also will have a safe list. I can't see that it matters if it's a notification e-mail, what's important is who the sender is. Hope this helps.

I've marked them as not spam but Amazon emails come from a bunch of different addresses depending on what they are. I can't access my emails at work at the moment but the message isn't just that they are spam but that they couldn't verify the sender.

yes, I've a feeling this is the same with most notification emails - they come from different 'addresses'. Not sure of the technical details, so I can't really describe it properly, but I think this is the problem.

Until Windows 10 I never had a problem

Though I have just been able to get on my emails and Amazon ones are no longer giving the unverified message, just spam. I've marked them as 'not spam' so we'll see. My Tesco Clubcard emails are now landing in spam though...

Wonderfully immersed in the heaven that is the Chelsea Flower Show, the gardens are absolutely superb, awesome and fantastic, so nice to meet the heros and heroines of GARDENER'S WORLD too! Its nice to see friends and family again while we are "down South" - but how we miss the bluebells and birdsong in the lanes, the pheasants in the fields and the magic of the Preselli hills - for any Welsh speakers out there now we're getting to know the real meaning of hiraeth
"Its a magic wood!" said Fanny suddenly.
