Chick and I have just been to see Million Dollar Quartet at the Brighton Theatre Royal. It charts the story of how four stars made rock 'n' roll history: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash.
It is, as you said John (Lucky Star), an amazing show which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you, Number 6 and Anita.
The Seagulls could have promotion confirmed if they win against Wigan on Monday. Fingers crossed.

And Forest could be heading the other way if results don't go our way on Monday, so I hope The Seagulls beat Wigan & do us a favour, Eddie!Eddie Muir wrote:The Seagulls could have promotion confirmed if they win against Wigan on Monday. Fingers crossed.

Glad you both enjoyed the show Eddie. Clearly it is every bit as good as I remember it. I don't think I have ever been on Brighton's Theatre Royal; but it looks like a really super venue.Eddie Muir wrote:Chick and I have just been to see Million Dollar Quartet at the Brighton Theatre Royal. Thanks, John. It's a great show, which we'd recommend to anyone interested in the history of rock 'n' roll.
The Theatre Royal, Brighton is a lovely old theatre which first opened in 1807.

Wow I'd love to go to Budapest! <3
As it is I've returned from an overnight trip with friends, and they had the cutest little teacup size kittens and there! Plus the momma cat had blue eyes, how perfect is that?

Sounds as if you're enjoyng your hoiday so far, Sunskriti. The kittens sound delightful. I love the way you describe them as "teacup" size.

Re: What Are You Doing Now?
Just got back from a fairly brief but lovely visit to Ightham Mote, the National Trust property not far from where I live, to see the bluebell wood while the flowers are at their best. Absolutely beautiful and so worth going to see. Among all the bluebells I even spotted just one with, well, whitebells. That reminded me at once of an Enid Blyton story in which a brother and sister go to pick bluebells in the wood and start searching for a white bluebell "because it was lucky". But they wander too deep into the wood and get lost... all ends happily, though, of course.
I knew the story from our copy of At Seaside Cottage when I was little (the version with lots of other short stories), but I've just found out from the Cave that it was originally in a collection called Hello Twins, with illustrations by Eileen Soper, including this lovely cover with a painting of the children in the bluebell wood!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Love that book cover, but then I like all Eileen Soper illustrations.
We've just got back from the Rashliegh Arms over in Charlestown. One of the old ships was out at sea, with it's big white sails standing so tall. Looked very smugglerish, if there is such a word!
Noticed you weren't in the pub, Courtenay!

Re: What Are You Doing Now?
I had a walk yesterday in Randan wood (what a great name for a Barney mystery!) near where I live - with lots of bluebells. Some still weren't out, but it was still a spectacular sight!
